Once again,
acclaimed photographer Fay Looney has produced an engaging tribute to the
New
Zealand way of life, capturing the distinctive qualities of both landscape
and people in a new hardback gift/souvenir book. A perfect little stocking stuffer for ex-pat family/friends.
The Real New Zealand is a photographic journey from Northland
to Stewart Island in the uniquely postcard-style that Fay is known for – that
special light at dawn on a deserted
beach, brightly painted murals on sheds
and barns, exotic body art and sculpture, and
people enjoying the simple
outdoor pleasures of fishing, horse-riding and camping in holiday spots
around the country.
Fay has an
innate sense of what will appeal to New Zealanders and visitors alike,
approaching her craft with a quirky charm and humour.
