‘Sweet As’ is an anthology of 29 short stories by New
Zealand writers.
As the editors say in their introduction, ‘…the stories in
this collection are not all ‘sweet’ in the traditional sense.’ Yes, New Zealand
also has a dark side. Both light and dark are shown to great effect in this
anthology, with a variety of thought provoking and entertaining stories. I’d be
surprised if you didn’t recognise some of the contributors who include past
Katherine Mansfield winners, members of the NZSA, published authors and
graduates of the International Institute of Modern Letters at Victoria.
