Malala Yousafzai was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize on Friday for
risking her life to secure girls’ education. The 17-year-old activist is the
youngest Nobel winner in history and will share the award with Indian
children’s rights activist Kailash Satyarthi. True to her commitment to
education, Malala was in school when she was named the winner and will remain
there until class is dismissed.
