The Book Council's next Wellington True Stories Told Live
storytelling cabaret will be on the theme 'Fear and Loathing'. The event will
follow our Annual General Meeting at 6.00pm on August 30 at the National
Library of New Zealand.
We'll proceed swiftly through
our AGM to report on 2012, and our progress and plans to date. True Stories Told Live – Fear & Loathing will kick off following the AGM with astonishing true stories
told by fiction writer and NZ Film Archive exhibition curator Tina Makereti,
poet Glenn Colquhoun, novelists Gigi Fenster and Danyl McLauchlan, and
several others.
If you would like to attend the
AGM please RSVP by email to rachel@bookcouncil.org.nz
or phone us on 04 801 5546 by Monday 26th August. You do not need to RSVP if
you will only be attending True
Stories Told Live,
please just come along.
Our Audited accounts and
Annual report for 2012 will be available to view on our website shortly.
