After 23 years at Random House New Zealand in customer service, there would be few booksellers who did not know and appreciate Barbara McNab’s friendly and efficient trouble shooting skills.
Booksellers Pat Mravicich from Carson’s in Thames, Carole Beu and former bookseller Anne Muir made a point of being at her retirement party last week.
Carole first met Barbara (pictured right) at Benton Ross, when Helen Benton was helping Carole select opening stock for The Women’s Bookshop.
Financial director Paul Whittaker praised Barbara’s success in team building and managing the team over the years.
Barbara’s customer service colleagues paid tribute with a farewell ‘title ditty’ and previous Random MD’s also sent messages wishing her a great retirement.
