Flash in Aotearoa: NFFD and Flash Frontier deadlines and news



The 2016 National Flash Fiction Day competition is well underway, with entries accepted through April 30. Send your best 300-word story! Cash prizes this year equaling $1500!

First Prize: $1000
Second Prize: $400
Third Prize: $100

Meanwhile, if you want to practice writing small fictions, try your hand at Flash Frontier: An in Short Fiction Adventure. The April issue will feature stories up to 250 words with the theme ‘slow’. Submissions close March 31. Details here.

And the June issue of Flash Frontier, themed ‘stolen’, will be guest edited by 2015 winner Frankie McMillan and prize-winning US flash author Sherrie Flick. Deadline for submissions for the June issue is May 31.
