REMEMBERING THE EASTER RISING

REMEMBERING THE EASTER RISING

As we prepare to relax into Easter, it seems appropriate to acknowledge an event in the programme marking 100 years since the Irish Easter Rising: From 1916 to Here features an all-Irish panel of writers discussing the ground-breaking impact the event had on their country's political view.

Ticket sales to this year's Festival have begun with a hiss and a roar! Stalls are already sold out to An Evening with Gloria Steinem and as a valued subscriber, we'd hate for you to miss out, so please book now and avoid disappointment.

The Emergency Poet and her able assistant, Nurse Verse, are going to be busy, too. Bookings for their poetical apothecary are swift! If you want your very own poetical prescription, delivered direct from a reconditioned 1960s St John’s ambulance, book now! The ambulance will be outside Takapuna Library on 10 May, Otahuhu Library on 11 May and in Aotea Square throughout the Festival weekend 13-15 May.

If you’re considering coming to several Festival events, a Concession Pass is the way to go. You’ll save up to 40 percent on General Events (Concession Pass tickets exclude workshops and Special Events). There are Take 10 Concession Passes and Take 5 Concession Passes available. You can share the tickets with friends and you can buy as many as you wish. What’s not to love?!
