Devon Hotel Where Agatha Christie Created Hercule Poirot Fetches £1.2m

The Moorland Hotel at Haytor, where Dame Agatha Christie spent two weeks writing The Mysterious Affair at Styles in 1916, which introduced the soon to become world famous Belgian detective Hercule Poirot, has been sold to a westcountry based company.
