LABOUR DAY HOLIDAY IN NEW ZEALAND TODAY
A public holiday here in New Zealand today, Monday 22 October.
Spare a thought for all those booksellers, and other retailers who are trading as usual and do not get a holiday like most of us.

Nice photo of the sort of place I'd like to be today, thanks..looking at that view on a comfy chair seeing if The Gathering measures up to Mr Pip (I somehow doubt it, but I shall reserve judgement for now) but alas I am working today too ...it seems Labour Day is more labour than not for a lot of people these days. Cheers to everyone else working, and yay for bookman beattie's blog. Lee
