BOOKMAN BEATTIE NEED HELP WITH NIGELLA

In a number of Nigella's recipes she includes "sunblush tomatoes" which she later explains are those tomatoes "that are halfway between fresh & dried and come soaked in oil in deli counters"

I haven't been able to locate these locally. Can anyone suggest where I might be able to buy them?

I made Nigella's 'moonblush' tomatoes, in Nigella Express p126/7 (called moonblush rather than sunblush because you leave them overnight in the oven). I'm looking forward to doing this with the glut of tomatoes I hope to have from my garden later in the summer.

I don't know about Auckland, but most Wellington New World supermarkets have semi-dried tomatoes in their deli cabinets. Sounds like the same thing...

Yes, semi-dried. Nicer than sun-dried, I reckon. Try Zarbo in Newmarket maybe?

Many thanks to nzbookgirl, anon, and Rachael King for these suggestions.I'll check my supermarket tomorrow and also Zarbo next time I'm over there.
I like the idea of moonblushing surplus tomatoes, I had missed that earlier when reading Nigella's tome.
