BOOK LOVERS' LONDON

Lesley Reader Metro Publications 8.99pds.

I bought this little gem of a book while in London for the Man Booker prize. It proved to be absolutely invaluable. It lists every bookshop in London, address, opening hours, nearest tube and bus details and gives a description of each, any areas they specialise in, how long they have been in business etc etc.
It also provides information on libraries, museums, galleries and historic houses of literary interest, festivals, book binders, book fairs, charity shops, markets and useful websites.
There are maps for those areas such as Bloomsbury, Mayfair and Charing Cross Roads where the density of bookshops is especially high.
A must for every booklover visiting London.

Thanks for this tip, I'll definitely purchase it. So far, I have just stumbled onto bookshops like Daunt (where we are heading tonight to hear LJ!).
Have enjoyed reading your blog and you inspired me to start mine (www.jtinuk.com).
Thanks
Jane
