Fifty Shades of Grey 'better than book'

First reviews of mummy-porn romance Fifty Shades of Grey say the film is better than the book it is based on.

Variety called it "a significant improvement" on EL James's novel, describing it as "Charlotte Bronte with a peacock feather".

The Guardian agreed, describing it as a "better-than-it-has-to-be adaptation".
