Yesterday New York City's oldest children's-only bookstore, Books of Wonder, launched a $100,000 fundraiser on indiegogo. For the 22-year-old bookstore it wasn't so much the effect of the downturn of the economy on book sales as the loss of rent and utilities when the bakery that shared its space closed 18 months ago. more
