Obituary Note: Billie Letts

Billie Letts, who was in her 50s when her debut novel, Where the Heart Is, "became a bestseller after Oprah Winfrey endorsed it in 1998 and was the inspiration for a Hollywood film," died last Saturday, the New York Times reported. She was 76. 
Letts was also the mother of playwright Tracy Letts, who won a Pulitzer Prize for August: Osage County.
