In Auckland, winners of the national competition will be
announced at the NFFD Prizegiving on 22 June in
the Auckland Central City Library, Lorne Street, in the Whare
Wānanga, Level 2, 2-4pm, with special guest readers, judges' presentations and
a reception. All are welcome.
In Wellington, there will be an open mic evening
on Monday, 24 June, at the Thistle Inn to give local
writers an opportunity to air their flash fiction and to celebrate this
competition.
In Christchurch, The Hagley Writers’ Institute is
hosting a flash fiction competition for adult students on 22 June, with Owen Marshall judging the winning
