Footnote:
To say that I was surprised and delighted to be the inaugural winner of this new award would have to be the understatement of the year. I was/am totally chuffed and feel greatly honoured.
They even gave me baseball cap inscribed - Bookman Beattie and the name of my award.

Delighted for your national recognition though all of us can smugly claim you as one of us. So pleased. What would we do without you? You have personally sent on paths I didn't even know existed and introduced me to some wonderful people. Thank you and congratulations again.
