Writers’ Residencies 2013 – Applications Close on Friday



This is a reminder that applications for the Michael King Writers’ Centre supported writers’ residency programme in 2013 close on Friday October 12, 2012.
The centre offers four writers’ residencies next year, ranging between eight weeks and six months. Applications are invited from New Zealand writers for a specific project:
  • The Summer Residency, eight weeks from January 7 (stipend $8,000);
  • The Autumn Residency, eight weeks from March 11 ($8,000);
  • The Maori Writer’s Residency, eight weeks from May 13 ($8,000);
  • The University of Auckland Residency, six months from July 10 (stipend/salary of $30,000), during the University’s second semester.
The residencies are offered with the support of Creative New Zealand. The University of Auckland residency is offered with the support of the University as well as Creative New Zealand.
