At Large and At Small Confessions of a Literary Hedonist
Yesterday in Christchurch a knowing bookseller drew this gorgeous small hardback to my attention and of course I just had to buy it! From the gorgeous cover, illustration by Claire Scully, to the beautiful endpapers, and the promise of a series of delightful essays on the various subjects about which the author is obsessive this little stunner was just crying out to be taken home!
I already own her earlier collection of essays, Ex Libris, Confessions of a Common Reader in which she wrote about her lifelong love of books and language.
