KATE MORTON – 10 MILLION BOOKS SOLD

Allen & Unwin author Kate Morton has achieved a major milestone in her writing career.  Since 2006 Kate has now sold over 10 million books across just four titles.

To celebrate this landmark, Allen & Unwin hosted a glittering party at the Frankfurt Book Fair on Wednesday with Kate and her international publishers.  Kate Morton is published in 33 languages across 38 countries.  has achieved a major milestone in her writing career.  Since 2006 Kate has now sold over 10 million books across just four titles.

This exciting news comes in advance of her fifth novel, The Lake House, hitting bookshops next week.

Kate Morton’s books -- The Shifting Fog (2006 and published internationally   as The House at Riverton), The Forgotten Garden (2008), The Distant Hours (2010) and The Secret Keeper (2012) -- have all been number one bestsellers around the world.

Each of her novels has won the Australian Book Industry Award for General Fiction Book of the Year.

Kate Morton is currently living in the UK.  She will tour the US and Canada, the UK, Germany and Spain throughout October, November and December to promote The Lake House.

Allen & Unwin holds world rights for all of Kate Morton’s novels.  She is published in the US and Canada by Atria Books, Simon & Schuster, and in the UK by Mantle, Pan Macmillan.
