The New Zealand Listener leads the way

The Listener is our leading weekly magazine dealing with current afairs, life, culture and the arts. It has always been a strong supporter of literature and literacy but over the past month or so the coverage given to books and book matters has increased dramatically with 9 or 10 pages each week now the norm.
The coverage this week runs to nine pages with four pages given over to two authors here this week for the Auckland Writers & Readers Festival, Aminatta Forna, pic left, (interviewed by Paula Morris), and Karen Healey. (interviewed by David Larsen). There are also reviews by Cheryl Pearl Sucher, Anna Livesey, Bernard Carpinter, Nicholas Reid and Bruce Ansley of  10 recent titles.
Splendid stuff. I hope all book lovers are buying The Listener each week.
