Historic Scottish Post Office directories available online at the National Library of Scotland
Almost 700 historic Scottish directories from 1774 to 1911 are now available to view and download from the website. They are an invaluable resource for anyone interested in family and local history as they record the names and addresses of people and businesses across Scotland. They also contain advertisements which give a valuable insight into society and lifestyle at that time.
