Janet Frame Eden Street Trust announces new website
The Janet Frame Eden Street Trust has announced the launch of their website. The aim of the site is to provide a virtual home for 56 Eden Street.
The site will contain news of activities at the house and related events, provide a focus for the tourist traffic to Oamaru and the house with details on how to get there, opening hours etc. So mark it in your favourites.
The site will cover news about the Trust and related news of the literary world.
Other news we have to share is the funding from REAL New Zealand Festival Aotearoa 2011. This festival is to share with travellers to New Zealand during Rugby World Cup 2011 all the goodies New Zealand has to offer. This funding will enable the Trust to open the house early in 2011 during the Festival and Rugby World Cup period and produce bookmarks for visitors to take away as a memento of the their visit.
This weekend the Trust has hosted a highly successful event at the Oamaru Public Library and a writing workshop for (21) aspiring writers with Fiona Farrell.
