Roger Parsons writes to The Bookman:
Thanks Graham for the item on the Sale of The Red Wheelbarrow in Paris.
Closer to home There is a Beautiful, Successful, Independent Art Bookshop for Sale in Auckland. Would you like another career ?
Parsons Auckland is now for sale. Opened in 1975 it is the only specialist Art Bookshop in the country . After 36 years of much fun and success Roger and Helen Parsons have decided to retire...at least from Bookselling. Roger has a number of mountains to climb and Helen has family to visit.
Lawrie McColl ( Partner of Jo McColl..Unity Books ) is handling the sale.

I hope that doesn't mean that Parsons in Wellington is going under the hammer! Not only have I bought CDs and books there just this past week, but I will have had two divine lunches there before Friday.
No Joan, just the Auckland shop is being sold. We are separate businesses, although fond family. Roger wants to continue spending a lot of time on via ferrata in Europe, and tramping in New Zealand.
We have had 35 wonderful years in the shop and have learnt so much from our interesting and informed customers.
