Orion Fiction editorial director Kate Mills bought UK and Commonwealth rights from Clare Alexander at Aitken Alexander Associates for two novels, for a five-figure sum.Orion will publish the first novel in the deal, The Secrets Women Keep, on 4th July as a £12.99 trade paperback and e-book.
Mills said: "I'm delighted that Fanny has joined the Orion list, bringing her warmth, wit and wonderful storytelling ability. The Secrets Women Keep is a bittersweet story about a newly-widowed woman coming to terms with a secret in her husband's past. It shows that women continue to have passionate, fulfilling lives beyond children and grandchildren. It's delightful."
