I'm writing to invite you to the Spit.It.Out. spoken
word series, which is new this year and part of the Auckland Fringe Festival
-- already underway in Auckland.
It's an amazing line-up of talent. See the complete gig guide here, and please check out any shows you
can while you're strolling around Auckland. Events take place through March 10.
This series includes 28 different gigs spread throughout
Auckland with participants from all over the country, with performers as varied
as Paula Green, Ian Wedde, Ali Jacs, Vincent
Nathan, Penny Somervaille, Gus Simonovic, Vivienne
Plumb, Tim Heath and Ya-Wen Ho.
My 30-min gig, which also features Siobhan Harvey and Michael
Onslow-Osborne, will take place next Saturday, 2 March, 5:30pm, at The
Basement Studio, Lower Greys Ave, Auckland CBD. If you are in the area, stop in
for some poetry.
Also, if you're not familiar with the flash fiction journal
I edit, Flash Frontier, I'm sending the new February
issue along as well. It just came out and includes twelve travel stories.
Next issue is the April issue; submissions guidelines are here. We're reading through
March 31. The April issue is a special international issue, so please feel free
to share around.
Thank you and see you at Spit.It.Out.!
