FRANKFURT FORTY

A select group of writers called the Frankfurt Forty is taking part in a unique and free event in Auckland on the evening of Wednesday 05 September. Selected by the New Zealand Society of Authors (PEN NZ Inc) to be represented at the 2012 Frankfurt Book Fair, where NZ is the Country of Honour, fourteen of the Frankfurt Forty will talk about their writing at a ‘talk fest’ hosted by Auckland’s Central City Library.

NZ Society of Authors Chief Executive Officer Maggie Tarver says “it’s not often that you get to hear so many writers talking about their books under one roof.  I think it’s a great opportunity to hear them share their writing, talk about their work and what they hope will come out of having their books represented by the New Zealand Society of Authors at the Frankfurt Book Fair. I’m sure you will come away inspired.”

Come along and meet fourteen of the Frankfurt Forty at this fun event which is open to the public. The Frankfurt Forty Talk Fest will take place in the Whāre Wananga on Level 2 of the Central City Library, 44-46 Lorne Street, Auckland.

Refreshments will be served at 5.30pm and readings will commence at 6pm. Bookings are highly recommended; please phone 377 0209 or visit www.aucklandlibraries.govt.nz to reserve your space.
