Talofa Family and Friends,
Some news for those of you based in
Auckland. This Saturday there will be a 'Telesa Trilogy Celebration' event held
at Otara Market from 9am to 12. The theme is : Unleash the Fire.
This event is being organized by Shop Samoa with the generous assistance of
some awesome sponsors and it showcases several different Pacific artists and
entrepeneurs. It will be a fun event for the whole family.
*The first magazine for Samoan
women, SUGA will launch its special first edition, which is dedicated to the
Telesa Trilogy with an author interview feature, 'Leila' and 'Simone'
photoshoot and more. Models from the magazine will also take part in a fashion
show with designs from MENA and Paula Chan Fashion.
* Photographer/Artist Jordan Kwan
will launch his 'Sexy Samoan Men' Calendar.
* Dance performances from the Tatau
Dance group and Filoi Vailaau's School of Pacific Dance
* Music artists Mr Tanoa, Reggae/Hip
Hop band 'Higher Ground', and duo Taufau Gardenia Aukuso & To'afa Te'o
* Slam Poetry performances from the
South Auckland Poet's Collective.
* Author Filipo Tevaga Sio will be
signing copies of his inspirational book, 'The Samoan Who Said Yes'
* Samoan Design store, Plantation
House will have a selection of Pacific design accessories available for
purchase.
* Radio Host, Yolande Ah Chong will
MC the event.
I'll also be there signing
copies of my books. I'm excited to be a part of the launches for SUGA and
Jordan's calendar and I'm looking forward to meeting readers and chatting with
