EMI to release Fifty Shades album

Music label EMI Classics is set to release a collection of music inspired by bestselling erotica series Fifty Shades (Arrow).
Fifty Shades of Grey – The Classical Album contains 15 pieces of music mentioned in the trilogy of books, including works by Verdi, Chopin, and Bach, in recordings made by artists such as Sir Simon Rattle and the King’s College Choir.

Author E L James said: “I am thrilled that the classical pieces that inspired while I wrote the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy are being brought together in one collection for all lovers of the books to enjoy.”
A spokesman for EMI said the music: “aims to provide the perfect accompaniment to the Fifty Shades reading experience, setting a mysterious and alluring atmosphere with just the slightest hint of danger".
The album will be released digitally on 21st August, and on CD on 18th September.
