An unoffical Facebook page has been created for J.K. Rowling‘s Pottermore website with some mysterious screenshots. The Facebook account has attracted more than 2,000 “likes” so far.
The page’s administrator has uploaded what could be three screenshots from the soon to be unveiled site.

Here’s more from paidContent.org: “The images, which could absolutely be fake but are quite detailed, show a library with bookshelves, a bookstore storefront, and a larger shelf with books on it.”
The first screenshot shows a Community page where site users can “take a writing tutorial. Sit back and read stories written by other wizards or even write your own.”

The second displays the “Home” page where visitors are taken to the front of a bookstore with a poster advertising a “live fireside reading” to be conducted by British actor Stephen Fry. The third features a sitting room with plush chairs and a fireplace. The site links to other pages, including “Pottercast,” “Shop,” and “Encyclopedia.”

Other rumors speculate that Rowling will offer an eBookstore on Pottermore. In April, scotsman.com reported that Rowling has been actively pondering on what to do with the digital rights for the Harry Potter series.
Others think it could be the Harry Potter encyclopedia, but Rowling has stated in past interviews it might require a decade of writing to complete. She fully intends to take on this project, but concluded “there is no point in doing it unless it is amazing.”
Pottermore’s elaborate YouTube page features several moving owls and a countdown clock for “J.K. Rowling’s Announcement.” As of this writing, Rowling’s fans will have to wait 5 days, 19 hours, 2 minutes, and 10 seconds. Rowling’s spokesperson told the Associated Press that the new site is “not directly related” to the final movie in the film adaptation series. (via Jose Afsono Furtado)
