2016 CLNZ Contestable Fund: $75,000 Ready and Waiting for Writers and Publishers

Copyright Licensing New Zealand has committed a minimum of $60,000 per annum, between 2015 and 2017, to be made available to writers and publishers from a dedicated Contestable Fund. CLNZ is pleased to announce that in 2016, $75,000 is available.

Inviting applications for 2016 Contestable Funding

Applications open 15th July 2016
Application deadline is 5.00 p.m. on  16 September 2016
Application form and guidelines are available at http://www.copyright.co.nz/Awards/

The number of successful applications varies from year-to-year depending on the individual merits of the applications received. Last year, investments were made into seven compelling projects; four from individual writers and three from publishing organisations that demonstrated sector growth.

In 2015, the selection panel saw a strong mix of projects that applications were received for. CEO of CLNZ, Paula Browning, said “The Contestable Fund criteria were established with broad scope and the diversity of applications last year endorses this approach. We hope to see this varied range in applications again in 2016.”
Recipients of this year’s funding will be announced on 20th October.
