Staff Vacancy at The Children's Bookshop, Wellington

We have the rarest of opportunities - a vacancy on our staff.
We are looking for a bookseller to join our team at an entry level.

The position will be permanent and for a flexible 30/35 hours a week, and 40 hours in November and December, and will include the requirement to be available for rostered, regular, Saturday work. 
The position will also require you to work during school holidays.

The duties will be many, but the main role will be back office, receiving stock into store, inputting books on to our system and then pricing them to be shelved. For this we require a quick and clear thinker adept at systems, and with a high degree of computing ability. 

The successful applicant will also be required to take a full role in all the other aspects of bookselling, alongside the working owners and two other experienced booksellers.
The Children’s Bookshop is a vibrant, busy workplace with a reputation for providing the very best of service. We set and expect very high standards and require applicants to have a great passion for children’s literature and the ability and confidence to pass that on to our customers. Previous retail or bookselling experience is NOT required.
