Dear Friends, With only 6 weeks to go, things are getting very busy and exciting at UWRF headquarters! The full program is up on the website, over 180 fantastic guests are confirmed to attend, and tickets are selling fast. We are delighted to announce a special new guest, Australian singer/songwriter and Rolling Stone Woman of the Year, Clare Bowditch. With our focus this year on women's stories and issues, Clare is the perfect addition to our line-up. She will join our People of Letters event, A Letter to the Thing I Wish I'd Written. We also welcome and congratulate the two winners of Long Way Home | Asia-Europe Short Story Contest. Leroy Luar from Malaysia's short story, The Evidence of Us, is our Asian winner, and Container, by Yordan Radichkov from Bulgaria, takes the European prize. Both writers have won S$1000, plus flights and accommodation to attend the Festival. Leroy and Yordan's stories will be officially recognised at A Long Way Home, a free event at Blanco Museum on the 14 October that will also see an exclusive open-air preview of Daniel Ziv's new film, JALANAN. It's just one of the many special events that will take place in Ubud this October.
