Science fiction author Frederik Pohl, 93, died over
the weekend, the news first shared by his granddaughter (and author) Emily
Pohl-Weary on Twitter. His career, which spanned seventy-five years, included
the novels GETAWAY (1977)
and most recently ALL
THE LIVES HE LED (2011), JEM (1979) as well as poetry, essay
collections, and a biography, THE WAY THE FUTURE WAS (1978).
