In 2011, Tracey Marceau was thrust into the media
spotlight when her 18-year-old daughter Christie was killed in their family
home by a teenager who was free on bail.
Christie is the
story of her daughter's short life, the events leading up to her killing and
previously untold details of what happened that day. Tracey will speak about
her book, which she has written to ensure that her daughter's story is
heard. Tracey has courageously spearheaded a campaign aimed at strengthening
New Zealand bail laws and preventing further deaths.
Copies of Christie will be on sale at this event
and royalties from the sale of the book will go to the Christie Marceau
Charitable Trust
