An evening with Kate Mosse in Christchurch




This is an event not to be missed!  KATE MOSSE was in Christchurch in 2008 for the Christchurch Writers’ Festival and proved to be a fascinating speaker. The venue is The Atrium – previously the Netball Centre in Hagley Park.
WAR – PASSION – COURAGE .  Her latest novel - CITADEL – is once more set in Carcassonne in the South of France.  Set during World War Two, it is a powerful, action-packed mystery that reveals the secrets of the resistance under Nazi occupation.  A cell of women, code-named CITADEL, fight for everything they hold dear  – all leading double lives;  it is a thrilling read , with many twists and turns.  Their struggle will reveal an older , darker combat being fought in the shadows.  

Kate lives most of  her time in the south of France in Carcassonne, where the novel is set.
She was the co-founder of the Orange Prize for Women’s Fiction, [now the Fiction Prize for Women Writers],  is on the board of the National Theatre and co-director of the Chichester Writing Festival.
