The New Zealand Society of
Authors (PEN NZ Inc.) has become aware of the proposed treaty by the
International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions on
Limitations and Exceptions for Libraries and Archives which was presented to
the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) Standing Committee on
Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR) in November 2011.
We are deeply concerned
that this Treaty has not been subject to open discussion and have entered a
submission calling for democratic debate.
