From The Bookseller - 6 October, 2011
Rod Stewart is the latest rock legend to sell his memoirs with Random House set to publish them next year. It's something of a coup for the publisher and with the right co-writer, could be one hell of a read. Stewart is a likeable and well-loved figure and a sorely underrated musician with his excellent early solo albums and work with the Faces, which make up for some incredibly ropey material in recent years. You can probably tell I am looking forward to it. Elsewhere in rock biography this week was Duran Duran founding member John Taylor signing a deal with Little, Brown for a memoir, something which has lead to some rather excited comments on our news story, and a forthcoming authorised biography.of the Stone Roses.
