MODEM MAYHEM
My WiFi modem has died of old age - nearly 3 years old!! Hence the long gap between postings. I have now bought a new one so normal service will resume shortly.

Welcome back, Bookman - and thanks for shelling out to perform such a great public service.
I guess $139 isn't too bad for three years? The young guy at Dick Smith's at Warkworth where I bought the new one (this is for the bach not home) says they are out of date every two years and if they last three years it is exceptional. Thank you for your kind comment.

Thanks for the warning - I resented having to buy the last one - about 18 months ago - so it won't be long.........
