Tony Park's eighth novel, African Dawn, deals with two of the most topical
and troubling issues to plague the continent of Africa in recent decades:
the ruination of Zimbabwe under the tyrannical Robert Mugabe, and the
methodical annihilation of the continent's rhino population.
Tony Park, an Australian, spends six months of every year traveling
in Africa with his wife, Nicola. As with his previous seven novels,
all set in Africa, Tony wrote African Dawn on location, traveling
through Zimbabwe, where he drew his inspiration from real people's
stories, as well as the spectacular countryside
