Ipad backlash officially here
07.04.10  The Bookseller

The iPad backlash is here, announced blogging site Gawker, which rounds up some of the criticism about the new device. "Yes, it's the unavoidable downside of all the hype lavished on the futuristic device," and yet "this sort of backlash has become an established and expected part of the Apple product cycle".

Chief among the complaints is that for some users the unit won't stay online, meaning some owners have to re-enter their wifi usernames and passwords constantly, "every 10 minutes in some cases". There is also the already known gripe that it doesn't support Flash, meaning that its browser neutered some sites.

Last but not least, noted Gawker, how the device "failed to make me the Shakespeare of Twitter". It picks up advice offered by Twittercism.com that "An iPad Won't Make You Better At Twitter... it won't make a lick of difference to the way that you use Twitter – or anything else – unless you make sure that you grow and improve, too".
