It is with great reluctance that Tony Fisk, Managing Director, HarperCollins Publishers New Zealand, announces the resignation of Lorain Day, New Zealand Publishing Manager.

During her 10 years with the company Lorain has built a fantastic publishing list which has provided the corner stone for the financial performance of the company.

Lorain has brought together an amazing team of dedicated people in her area and together they have developed and published some of this country's most successful authors and books in recent years.  Some of their publishing successes include: He'll be Okay by Celia Lashlie, Before Your Kids Drive You Crazy Read This by Nigel Latta, Deborah Challinor's historical novels, Michelle Holman's contemporary fiction, The Dangerous Book for Boys NZ edition, The Lord of the Rings Location Guide by Ian Brodie, Give a Man a Horse: The Remarkable Story of Sir Patrick Hogan by Dianne Haworth and Billy T: The Life & Times of Billy T James by Matt Elliott, to name but a few.

Lorain leaves HarperCollins to pursue some personal dreams.  She will officially relinquish her role on Friday 21 May and will be sorely missed by all at HarperCollins Publishers and by HarperCollins' authors.
