GORDON DRYDEN HAS HIS SAY ABOUT THE FUTURE OF THE BOOK

For anyone still doubting that the iPad and its competitors (soon to emerge) will replace textbooks and most non-fiction books, look at this demo of the new touch way to demonstrate all the elements that make up our incredible planet:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nHiEqf5wb3g

The entire graphics in it have already appeared as:
·    color posters
·    3D color posters
·    A wonderful high-quality hard-cover book

But now marvel at:

·    The way a skilled craftsman has machined each element in 3D and then
·    How the entire project has come together as the 3D, moveable eBook of the future

Here are some of the comments in its YouTube page since the video was filed there two days ago:

“Things will never be the same again.  This app raises the bar so high that at 50+ I will finally learn something and enjoy every moment  Education will never be the same either or more fun.  This app on its own won’t do it but it’s the pathfinder.  The lid has been lifted.  A mixture of education, amusement an awe.”

“The best book ever.”

“I would by an iPad for this.”

My mine:  “At last, a true glimpse of the future.”
