Figures just released, and published in the latest issue of Publishing News, reveal a 4.1% increase in titles published in the UK in 2006 with the total exceeding 115,000 copies. Blimey! Then you have to add on all the other titles published in English in the US, Australia, Canada, NZ, the Caribbean, India and other places.
