- Our Autumn/Winter programme 2016 is now open to book. This season marks the start of a new partnership between the RSL and the British Library. Our first event is Rose Tremain in conversation on 29 September.
- We are delighted to announce that the RSL is now administering the £10,000 Encore Award for the best second novel of the year. First presented in 1990, the Award fills a niche in the catalogue of literary prizes by celebrating the achievement of outstanding second novels. The Award is generously sponsored by Lucy Astor. Submissions are welcome from publishers and authors. Visit our website for information on how to enter. Closing date 30 November 2016. Previous winning books can be seen in the picture above.
