32 outstanding New Zealand children’s and teens’ books
The Storylines Children’s Literature Trust named 32 outstanding New Zealand
children’s and teens’ books to make up its Notable Books listings for 2016.
Winners were presented with their certificates at the Storylines Margaret
Mahy Day on 3 April.
The 2016 Notable Books (published during 2015) include four novels for
young adults, 10 children’s novels, 10 picture books and seven works of
non-fiction. The list boasts many of New Zealand’s well-established authors
and illustrators, and a significant number of new authors and
