2014 Printer in Residence: Vangioni/Morley

On 1 August, Peter Vangioni*, owner-operator of Kowhai Press, Christchurch, will begin work at the Otakou Press room on the 2014 Printer in Residence programme.

Vangioni will be using Zerkall paper and printing lino images and text by Michael Morley**. The publication – which will feature 7 poems and 7 images – will be called XXXXXwords

The 100 copy only edition will be bound by the University bindery. Retail (incl. GST) NZ$140.00

Although not yet definite, a signed A-Z (26) sequence of individual prints may also be available in addition to the publication. Further details on this will be forthcoming.

*‘Print enthusiast’ Peter Vangioni is curator at the Christchurch Art Gallery, Christchurch. His most recent publication is a history of printing presses in Christchurch.

**Michael Morley is an experimental musician and visual artist who currently teaches at the Otago Polytechnic School of Art. Groups he has been involved with include The Dead C, Gate, and Wreck Small Speakers on Expensive Stereos.
