Webb’s has much pleasure in inviting you to the launch
of Peter
Mcleavey: The Life and Times of a New Zealand Art Dealer.
From Montana award-winning author Jill Trevelyan, and based on a
private archive of diaries and correspondence, this is the first
biography of Peter McLeavey, the charismatic, pioneering art dealer who
since the 1960s has shaped the New Zealand art market.
Speakers on the night will include the author
Jill Trevelyan, Olivia McLeavey, Te Papa's Chief Executive Michael
Houlihan and artist John Reynolds.
The book launch will coincide with the preview for sales
of Important Paintings & Contemporary Art and Fine Jewellery
& Watches.
The evening will be catered with canapés by Toto, refreshments from
Antipodes and wines from Terra Sancta, Arrowtown.
