Eat, Sleep, Read: Booksellers NZ's brand new catalogue for Indies

Fourteen Independent stores, 18 publishers, 117 books and a print run of 180,000+ catalogues. The Booksellers NZ “Summer Reading Catalogue” is due to arrive at participating Indie bookstores on Monday 25th November, just in time to capitalise on Christmas and the holidays.

The catalogue is filled with gift ideas for the silly season and great reading to keep the entire family entertained over the long (hopefully!) lazy days of summer.

The Indie bookstores distributing the 2013 catalogue are:

Almo’s Books, Books A Plenty, Bookstop Gallery, Bruce McKenzie Booksellers, Carson’s Bookshop, McLeod’s Booksellers, Muirs Bookshop & Cafe, Piccadilly Bookshop, Plaza Books, Scorpio Books, Poppies, Pt Chevalier Bookshop and Resource Room, Time Out Bookshop, The Women’s Bookshop.

The Summer Reading catalogue will be distributed in these bookstores and also be circulated via store mail-outs and in a range of local newspapers.
"We've really appreciated Booksellers taking the initiative on this catalogue. It is an expensive and time-consuming exercise normally and this has been a cost-effective way for us get a personalised Christmas marketing catalogue – that looks great!" said Nevena Nikolic, from Time Out Bookstore in Mt Eden.

Love your local: Support the Independent bookstores in your community

The Summer Reading catalogue is a response by Booksellers NZ to requests from many of our Indie stores. CEO Lincoln Gould noticed the increased interest and demand for Booksellers NZ to step in and provide an economical yet well-designed catalogue for our members who had formerly been supported by the Australian company, Leading Edge.

Leading Edge pulled out of New Zealand in early 2013, opening up a platform for Booksellers NZ to further assist our membership.
”We are looking to expand our support for the “buy local” campaign which is a central part of Indiebound, and this catalogue is part of that effort,” said Lincoln.

Traditionally Booksellers NZ did organise a catalogue for Independent members, and  Booksellers NZ are committed to continuing to provide catalogues for members in 2014 and beyond.
