Wilbur Smith Moves To HarperCollins

HarperCollins today announced a world English language deal for six books with the prestigious international best-selling thriller writer, Wilbur Smith. The deal was brokered by agent Kevin Conroy Scott of Tibor Jones and Associates, with Daniel Mallory, Vice President and Executive Editor at William Morrow in the US, and Kate Elton, Publisher, and Katie Espiner, Publishing Director at HarperFiction in the UK.

The first book to be published with HarperCollins will be a sequel to River God, which has sold more than 4 million copies around the world, with an estimated 2.5 million of those in English. The novel is scheduled for Christmas 2014, and will mark 50 years in Wilbur Smith's legendary career. Smith will then publish up to two novels a year, some pairing him with carefully selected co-authors.
