About the author:
Shona Hopkins was born in Auckland, New Zealand, in 1961. From an early age, in the care of her maternal grandmother, she learnt the meaning of family, religious beliefs, oral tradition and culture. Today she lives in Queensland, Australia, with her husband Peter and their three children Adam, Bridget and Megan. They have previously lived in the Cook Islands and return regularly to visit family and friends.
About the illustrator :
Bruce Potter is an international award-winning illustrator of over 95 books. Bruce is known for his realistic style and fine detail but he also has a background in cartooning and caricature for a number of newspapers around the world. He lives happily with his wife and three children in his own little two-acre paradise in Tuakau.
